Jon Gwinn has posted about 75 pictures from the Class of 1960 50-year reunion at

He reports, “Both of our class celebrities (actor Chris Sarandon and Space Shuttle pilot Jon McBride) attended this reunion as well as our foreign exchange student Hans Joachim Huebner from Stuttgart, Germany.”

The WWHS Class of 1952 will assemble at Pipestem State Park for a reunion October 19, 20 and 21, 2010. Reunion activities are scheduled midweek in order to avoid conflicts with college homecomings. Robert Bonar has produced a history of WWHS football, which is available as a PDF file here. This is an amazing document, with records going back to 1919 when the local high school was called Beckley High School.

Silver Eagles Reunion II will be held on August 7, 2010, from 6pm to midnight in Uptown Beckley. This block party is for all WWHS alumni from the classes of 1970 thru 1980. More details to follow.
