My wife's cancer returned for the third time and our daughters "encouraged" me to retire from Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth and move to Austin to be 200 miles closer to them and the grandkids. Comments: In August we moved back to Mechanicsburg from Perrysburg OH. Last year we purchased my mom's house on Bellevue Lane in Beckley. We are thinking of moving back there when we retire. Right now it is rented. My parents, sister Linda and daughter Becky Walker still live in Beckley. My one and only grandson Andy Walker is a freshman at Marshall. I would love to know anything about our planned 45th reunion. My graduation present, my son Scott, is living in Indialantic FL and he will be 45 on June 30,2008. My other son, John is a prosecuting attorney for the city of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. My niece, Destiny Mason, that we have raised since she was a baby is now 16 and am I too old for a teenager. For the last two years, we have spent the winters in Bushnell, FL. It is so great not to shovel snow. We are volunteer drivers for the Monroe County Animal League. We transport puppies to MA for adoption. I hope this finds all my classmates well and happy.

It's fun to catch up with everyone. I am currently teaching Spanish at the "new" WWHS. I have three very unique children :

Jason (age 26), my VT engineer grad who is currently a river raft guide/ski instructor who is "sort of "looking for a job when he can find time.

Justin (age 23) currently studying English literature and writing novels and long e-mails on political matters and promises he will graduate this spring!

Jennifer (age 19) is currently attending Marshall Universtiy in the Fine Arts Department and is interested in photography. She is a sophmore.

I am happily divorced from my world traveling husband , Dan Snead. We did have some interesting travels in my past life.

Be sure to come to the "Golden Eagle" reunion at Little Beave Lake. I went last year and had a blast. Yes, I can still dance and "stroll".

Comments: Went into the military in '63 and afterwards attended Marshall Univ. Was Married to Jane A. McCoy for 28 years when she passed away. Great News for us! An Elementary School was named in Jane's honor in 2000. See it on the web if you are interested. One Daughter, Hillary, a High School Teacher in El Paso. Comments: Hi Classmates. Thought I'd put in my two cents. I went to WVU after high school. Switched from aerospace engineering to psychology my sophomore year (chemistry killed me). Managed to get kicked out for low grades in late '66. I never did learn how to study. Joined the Marines, went to Vietnam in '69-'70. Survived, and went back to WVU in '71. Finally learned how to study and graduated with a BA in psychology in '72. Got a job with Xerox in Columbus and retired from that 30 years later. Got married, had 4 kids (all still working their way through school), got divorced 15 years ago. Now trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Good to see most of us are surviving.

On March 10 Henry was diagnosed with lower esophagus and upper stomach cancer. It has metastasized to the liver. He has a great attitude and is fighting hard!!! Comments: I had definite plans to make it to our reunion this October 18th, but unfortunately I will not be able to come. It is my school's big fall festival fundraiser. I had already decided to miss that, but then I got a student teacher today. There was no way I could miss school on Friday with her just beginning today (Wednesday). I was very disappointed.
I hope you all have a wonderful time. Life is still treating me well. Joel and Jill have both married in the last 2 years, and I love my new daughter-in-law, and son-in-law! I am still waiting for grandbabies, but I am being VERY good and not mentioning that!
I am still teaching Kindergarten in a school in Franklin, a precious historic town just 8 miles south of Nashville.

Comments: Wow; It's been almost 40 years (and 70 added pounds) since the old 58 Dodge blew-up. For those that wonder where I've been; Twenty one years in the Air Force took me to: San Antonio, Denver, California, Thailand, California, Denver, Las Vegas, Denver, England, Germany, New Hampshire, Saudi Arabia and retirement in Denver. No jobs were available in Denver in 1984; therefore, three weeks later, we landed in Texas. General Dynamics was hiring engineers and my USAF experience and training served as my degree. Same employer has evolved into the present Lockheed Martin Company. We build three different fighter aircraft (F-16, F-22 and JSF) in the Fort Worth plant.
I married Charleen Osselton from Wyoming in 1968. She accompanied me to WV for the 10 year class reunion and will again this year. We have two girls (Casandra; 1972 and Rebecca; 1977), both married Texans. Cassie has provided one grandchild (Drew; 2002) and Becky is still putting off the child-bearing event. Both girls and their husbands are living in Austin (190 miles south) and doing well in all respects. I look forward to visiting WV again and seeing some of you in October at the reunion. Cheers!!! After 26 years in the cosmetology field, I changed professions 4 1/2 years ago. I work for a company that bottles the best natural spring water in the world, Anqet, a West Virginia product. I am very active in our local Beckley Area Shag Club and dance more now than I did when we grew up dancing at teen Town and Little Beaver Lake Record Hops. Comments: Greetings 63' Classmates. Since I'm one of the lost magnificent Seven, (Twins), I've been seeing my name as "where about's unknown"! Actually, I've been keeping quiet and lived in Raleigh County for fifty years. (last seven in Princeton, Mercer Co.) After WWHS, the Navy seemed to be a priority, where I served on ships home based in Hawaii, Japan and Vietnam. Other priorities included receiving a BS degree in Accounting and Business Admin. from Morris Harvey. After studying extensively for the CPA exam, I was employed with the Earehart Corp., Atlas Powder Co. (a subsidiary of ICI International), Concord College; and currently I am a partner with Summit Supply in Beckley. I've been married for 33 years to Shirely Pack, (Class of WWHS 66) and have two sons, Steve, a manager with Wal Mart, and Philip, a WVU engineering graduate. We had the best teachers and opportunities for success. We must all admit that our generation was the best! I was married in 1965 and my husband Jerry and I have three children, two daughters and one son. We have been married for 37 years and I chose to be a stay-at-home mom, which has been very rewarding. MY husband retired from GTE in 1993 as a sup'v in COE. We have made many trips back to Beckley over the years and plan to visit for our family reunion next year. Comments: I have been living back in Beckley since 1967. In 1967 I started working for C & P Telephone Co. as an long distance operator. In 1998 I retired from Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) as an Engineering Assistant.
I have one son, Wayne Nipper, who works for Verizon. He is married and has a step son. I received my B. S. degree in Business from Concord College in 1990. In 1993 I married Roger Hollingshead from Josephine. I now am employed as a substitute school teacher in Raleigh County. Roger is a school bus driver in Raleigh County and is retired from UMWA. During our summers off, we live in Ballard, Monroe County. We hope to retire there in a few years. We love to travel with our dog, Pepi, by our side.

She is an accountant for the National Hazmat Program in Beaver. Alicia, married to Johnny Pachuta, has Hannah Beth (4) and Nicole Cristene (2). She is a former Elementary teacher and is now a stay-at-home mom with her own jewelry business. I plan to teach one more year and then retire. Can you believe that our 40th Class Reunion is coming up next year? I'm so excited and can't wait to get back to Beckley and see everyone. As some of you already know, I'm really looking forward to a very tasty bar-b-q at King Tut's...yum..yum..yum. New Orleans has some wonderful food but just can't make a King Tut's bar-b-q.

Comments: After high school I went to art school, then the Army where I served in Thailand as an illustrator and English teacher. From ther I went to Dallas where I worked for LTV Aerospace illustrating flight manuals. After this I went to college and got degrees in English and art education I taught for one year and hated it. I earned a commercial pilot license and flew for an engineering company for six years. My next carrer change took me to the Federal Government as an illustrator where I have stayed. I live in the country about a mile from work, a big garden is essential. Occasionally I paint. My three children are grow: I am divorced. About a year ago I received a masters degree in mine safety and am looking forward to retirement, but haven't decided where. Are there any women out there that want to go to Belize with me?

Comments: Amazing, just amazing. I have been, over the years, crusin the old "Echo" and wondering where people of "63" are at and what they are doing. This is like a synapsis of the utmost, beats any mary Jo or acid trip anyone could take. From an old buddy, local city police officer, information had been that I died in a trailor fire in Michigan. Not true. Hi there. I am still here. I left Beckley in Aug of 63 to Florida. Worked then went into the Air Force in "64". Met my wife there. Thought she was a German National, but she could not speak a word of German. American tourist. Got her address, corresponded nine months, asked her to marry me. One week after arriving in Michigan we were married and 34 years later we are still together. Two children. One developmentally disabled, but exceptional in that he is living on his own. A dream come true. Youngest has all faculties but is blowing his life away. I graduated from Central Michigan University B.S in secondary ed, double major (Art/Biology) returned for certification in special education for the emotionally impaired then for the mentally impaired. Picked up my masters from CMU in learning disabilities. Me! with a masters? Talk about dreams. I have been teaching in special ed for 26 years. Classes are 234 days a year. The students I work with have all been court placed for various crimes they have committed in the community from simple assault to criminal sexual conduct, to arson and on and on. Right now we are working on records day and I am on the computer doing this. Do not have internet at home. I pinch pennies way too hard. I really do not have plans on retiring. I could go out this may with 30 years (4 years buy in from military). Economics tends to restrict my plans. My wife and I own our home on 13 acres of woodland. It has been beautiful, restful, peaceful and all that other stuff. I have a wood shop and mechanic shop where I build and fix as much as I possibly can. I work out with weights, run and do ashtanga yoga because its fun and helps me focus as well as being able to keep all my bones working.
I would love to receive a good toke from the past, to main line into the history that wass responsible for the assist in creating who we are. I doo remember, with a passion, teen town, beckley supper club, pine room, little beaver record hop, pete and bobs drive inn and loads of other places around there. I miss the 1960-1963 years. I would love to connect with some conversation from the past. Hello! Reach out and touch someone. I really hope to come to the next reunion. And hey Karen. First time in 44 years he hasn't been on the football field in August. We have three grown daughters: Susan, 31, teaches in Huntington, has 2 step-children; Katy, 27, married, is a WV soil scientist in Beckley; Becky, 25, getting married in October, is a social worker in a kidney dialysis medical center in Charlotte, NC. Since moving to Florida, I discovered that my old neighbor and friend Freddie Lewis is in the national spotlight. I looked him up on the internet and found Woodrow Wilson Home Page. I still keep in contact with a few close friends and of course my "look alike Twin- Tom." He is in Ann Arbor, Michigan and works as a Psychologist with wife Cheryl and two children: Lora and Jason. My mother, Milly died this past January at the age of 96, just two weeks before her 97th. birthday. We all went back to Beckley in a snowstorm to fulfill her desire to be burried with my father Eric, (Eric's Jewelry) in her much loved Beckley. Many great memories and a great place to grow up. I lived in Detroit, Michigan and surrounding suburbs for about 30 years. I worked as an executive secretary for a large company, then we moved to Howell, Michigan. My most recent job was Administrative Assistant to the President of a small hospital in Howell. My husband retired in 1995 from Ford Motor Company and we promptly moved to Florida -- for the good life. Didn't like that, so we moved half way back to the beautiful green mountains of northeastern Georgia.
