Comments: I'm a 1964 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. I was looking when the next reunion would be. I have lived in Arizona since 1990 and I get back to West Virginia once a year. My sister Dixie still lives at the old home place. My Dad died in 1974 at the age of 72 and my mother died in 2000 at the age of 85. I have been wondering when the next reunion would be, the last one I was at was the 25th reunion. Since I have been in Arizona I have gotten an assocate degree in business. I was working on my BA but had to put it on hold because my husband Landy James Dove had a triple by pass in 2005 and a head injury in 2006, So I had to put my education on hold. Comments: 80th SURPRISE Birthday Party for Muriel Meador Kincaid Class of 1945 and a Retired Raleigh County teacher of 33 years.
Mom taught at Sophia Junior High, Beckley Junior High then Park Junior High. She taught Algebra and was a Raleigh County Teacher of The Year going on to be in the top 5 finalist for the state. Mom is very active in the Retired Teachers group and Crab Orchard Baptist Church.
My sister Holly Bess Kincaid Case class of 1989 and I are planning a dessert party at Tamarack on Saturday November 24, 2007 to surprise mom. She is so proud of her teaching years and all the students she taught and loves running into them while out adventuring.

away in 1978 in an automobile accident. My father passed away in 2004 from

She passed away when I was six years old, so I have limited memory of her. If

Sorry if we could not locate any of you or you were just not able to attend the 40th. We all had a wonderful get-together and missed so many, but we want to see you this next time sooooooo.......please email with your current email and snail mail
addresses so that someone can keep you posted on any plans. We would also love to know of any ideas you might have for the 45th and what time of year is best. The 40th planning was not started soon enough
but we had a great committee and hopefully they will all be willing to serve again and of course, we would love all the help we can get, esp. the help during the reunion itself. If you have a special interest, also let us know.
For those who did not attend the 40th- We had "Record Hop" at Little Beaver
with a DJ and lots of donated food. Our memorial was especially touching. We had loads of casual fun!!!! On Saturday a few of us got together at Grandview golf Course for a some not-so-professional golf-just good ole enjoyment.
There were several who got together separately with "old" friends. Saturday evening we had the dressier dinner at Black Knight with a band-great food and socialization. Ruannn attended
and was our speaker-she has not changed and we were thrilled share the room with one of our many successful classmates. The "boys" who were in a band together during high
school got together rather impromptu and entertained us stupendously!!!!!! "Oh what a night"! Sunday morning several met for breakfast before heading back home.
The hardest part with the reunion was locating classmates-we are wiser now and hopefull between now and the next one we can find everyone!!!!!

were married. John and I were neighbors growing up, but we never dated. We were reunited on this site a few
years ago. I retired from a 35-year teaching career in Maryland and moved to Michigan in November. Now I have
three step-daughters, three sons-in-law, and nine grandchildren! John will be retiring in July. We plan to enjoy

I attended college at Beckley Junior College and later Marshall University. While at Marshall I met and married Charles Wilmink, and we had a son (Charles IV) and a daughter (Georgeanne). We later divorced. I became a legal secretary in Beckley and continued my college education as well as
a course in court reporting. I married Jerry Dean Pannell and had another daughter (Sharon). A few years after our divorce, Jerry died. I married Bill Fogg, and we did not have any children. We also divorced, and he later died.
After raising my children, I moved to Roanoke, Virginia, where I have been for the past 16 years. After 23 years of being alone, I married Giles Wood, and he died ll months later. I am NOT a black widow, in spite of all the bad luck.
I have seven grandchildren who are the lights of my life. I work
for an attorney, and I am very active in the American Business Women's Association. I have also worked part-time as a teacher in the paralegal department of a community college and as an educator and admissions clerk for the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
I visit Beckly often because my daughters are still there. I would love to hear from my friends from high school and wonder whatever happened to my old friends.
My last class reunion was the tenth year. My how time flies.

put together; I'm an R.N. @ Veteran's Hospital in Lexington, Ky.; got out of the icu's and er and now do Clinical Advice
for all 7 VAMC's in our VISN. Crazy hours because we cover central time zone calls; my husband of 37 years and I have no

Comments: My mother always told me I was a slow learner. I just found this great website. It has been so interesting reading
about '64 graduates. My husband and I have been married 38 years and have one daughter, age 19. She just finished her
first year at Concord. I am still at WWHS as the financial secretary. I have a business teaching degree but could never
get into the field after graduation because all the "teacher cuts" were beginning. I cannot think about retirement for at
least 5 more years. My husband, Bill, retired in June, 03 as assistant principal at Shady Spring Middle School. Hope to see

Comments: Hello to all members of the Class of '64. Best wishes to each of you. My wife of 34 years, Carol
and I live in beautiful southwest Michigan, about 30 miles inland from Lake Michigan's eastern shore near the city
of Kalamazoo. We have one son, Christopher, now 25. He's a journalist working as a Public Relations Manager for
Tyco International in Roselle, IL, a Chicago suburb. He's single but attached and we're hoping an announcement
will soon be forthcoming that will get things underway for the grandchild I've always wanted. Like his father,
he travels extensively in his work.
I work as Senior Vice President for Marketing and Regulatory Affairs for Professional Kennel Club, Inc., a purebred
dog registry headquarted in Evansville, IN. I've been in this field professionally for 21 years. Retirement is
something I don't think about. I enjoy my work and can't imagine not doing it. I especially enjoy legislative
work on behalf of dog owners nationwide. I truly have "gone to the dogs."
I had a great time as a kid in Beckley. I didn't take life too seriously then and have tried to maintain
that attitude, simply refusing to grow up. It works for me. We should have a good time at the 40th reunion.

After graduating WWHS in '64, PHILLIP P HUGHES attended Univ. of Tenn., alternating between KNOXVILLE,
TN, and AIKEN, SC, as a co-op student for Atomic Energy Commission awhile. Meanwhile the family moved to
HUNTINGTON, WV, and finally to BARBOURSVILLE, WV. Graduated from UT with BS in Botany (minor = mathematics)
and then joined US Air Force. After finishing medical school in TEXAS, was assigned to 10-bed hospital in
CRETE, GREECE, and ran E/R evening & night shift with one MedEvac to WIESBADEN, GERMANY. When the Vietnam
War ended, joined the ranks of thousands of unemployed vets in WEST VIRGINIA. Saw the USA in a
Greyhound bus and part of CANADA via rail. On the GI bill, attended Marshall Univ. in HUNTINGTON, WV, graduating
with BS in Medical Technology and was registered with ASCP. Began working in chemistry department of a
hospital clinical laboratory in ATLANTA, GA, and married ELOUISE who also worked there. Moved to WOODSTOCK, GA, and
raised 2 daughters in a newly built house with a British Blue cat named GREY. When computerization came to
the lab, there were annual treks to TUCSON, AZ, for week-long computer schooling and/or conventions provided
by the information systems vendor. Early retirement by ELOUISE, a microbiologist, and myself, a lab computer
system manager, was done by careful planning. Now, when not playing with our 4 grandkids, we may be enjoying
hobbies together, such as traveling to SOUTHWESTERN deserts for botanical field trips, hiking &
wildflower photography in the SMOKIES of TENNESSEE and in the NORTH GEORGIA mountains, or computing at
home. Additionally, the wife enjoys cooking, sewing and art, whereas G-scale model railroading, gardening and
winemaking are my pastimes. Our current project for desktop publishing of family history has the wife doing
genealogy research via internet about 8 hours a day, while I am scanning and restoring old family photos,
documents, newspaper clippings, etc. on our home computer network. Visit our website

Comments: What a wonderful web sight. I found it by accident and just had so much
fun. I went to Averett Junior College in Danville Va. and transfered to WVU to finish. Little
did I know I would never leave Morgantown. My husband of 33 years is from here. He has a CPA
firm in Clarksburg. I was a guidance counselor for 5 years and retired to raise the family. We have
a daughter Maranda who graduated fron Duke and is married to a naval ob-gyn resident. They are living
in Norfolk, Virginia. Our son Jeff graduated from the University of Maryland and is managing Rio Grande
Cafe in Bethesda. No grandchildren yet. I have returned to teaching as a substitute at Morgantown
High. I love the job and it has been interesting as we have been meeting Beckley in football and
basketball. My parents are deceased, so we don't get back to Beckley. Many happy memories there for
me. I really hope we have a 40th reunion and I will help if there is something I can do from

Comments: WOW! I just found this site, thanks to my brother Bob Totten who
is living in Topeka, KS. I was in Parkersburg for 18 years with a solo medical
practice in endocrinology (diabetes, hormones, etc). I have kept in touch with Patty
Thomas Miser and with Harriett Anne Hall through the years. I decided to close the
practice and study geriatrics, and I have moved to Manchester, NH as of July 1, 2002
to work at a Senior Health Center. Since moving to Manchester, I have met a number
of people from West Virginia, including a women who graduated in the 1930's and was in the
WWHS Band, played clarinet, and was one of the members who played at Soldier's Field in Chicago.
(Anyone remember how Mr. Sallack always told the story about playing there?). I also have met an
orthopedica surgeon who graduated from WVU School of Medicine with classmates who are now
in Parkersburg. I met a woman yesterday who went to Greenbrier College in Lewisburg. So, I keep
the WV Connection... I love New Hampshire, but the mountains aren't quite like the WV ones.
I certainly hope we can get a reunion going. I would be there if at all possible.

Comments: In 1964 I moved to Ohio the month after I graduated. I worked for Social Security for
26 years. When I wasn't working extensive overtime, I worked most part-time jobs known to man. The only way
I survived working for the government was to transfer every few years (Charleston, SC, Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC,
etc). In 1990 I escaped by taking early retirement and now work for Borders Books, Music and Cafe, which is more fun
than work. I have 2 dogs and three cats, all strays, and just started a bakery for cats and dogs. We make healthy
treats with no salt, sugar or preservatives added. I have also been in community theater for 30 years, but very
seldom get to play a human. Mostly I am the animal with the tail that gets kidnapped: piglet, the cowardly lion,
the camel with the wrinkled knees, etc. Would love to hear from the class of 1963, 1964 or anyone else.

My parents moved from Beckley to Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., in 1964
just after I graduated from Woodrow. My family and I live in Silver Spring. My wife, Caterina,
and I have been married for almost 28 years. Like my mother, she is a native Washingtonian; I
am a proud West Virginian! We have eight wonderful children ranging in age from 26 to 9 years
old. We have seven girls and one boy. Our oldest daughter was married in January 2001. Two
of our children are in college, two in high school, two in grade school and two are college
grads. The seven who are not married live at home.
I graduated from the University of Maryland and am the Chief Financial Officer for the Department
of Health and Human Services, Montgomery County Maryland. I have worked for the Montgomery County
Government for almost 28 years and plan to be here when my class of '64 celebrates its 40th reunion.
My wife and I are volunteers at our children's grade school and high schools and with the Catholic
Youth Organization. I have been a credit union volunteer for over 30 years and am serving my 13th
year as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union
in Rockville, Maryland.
While all of my wife's immediate family as well as my own live in the Washington, D.C. area, I still
have many friends and relatives in Beckley; my children and my wife and I still love to visit West Virginia.

I left Beckley in 1966 to work in Washington DC in Policy Analysis
and Program Evaluation for the Undersecretary of Housing and Urban
Development. I met and married my wonderful husband, Paul who is
"pure Cajun" from Southwest Louisiana. He works for Delta Air Lines.
We were married in 1968. We transferred to Atlanta, GA, Delta's
home base in 1972 and live in Marietta, GA (suburb of Atlanta.) We have
two sons, Christopher and Matthew, both single and have great jobs.
We have two precious Dachshunds that allow us to share their space.
As a Delta family, we have been fortunate to travel all over the world
and plan to start over again. I work at DCMA Lockheed Marietta, (home
of the F-22.) I have no immediate plans to retire. I've been back
to Beckley only once since '66 and didn't realize how beautiful the
mountains are and how much I missed the state. Hopefully we can get
back again very soon. Would love to buy land and a house in the area
as a retreat from the city and traffic. Looking forward to hearing

back in the 60's and spent time with him in Florida while in the radio business in the
80-90's. I married Cindy Smith of Beckley in 1983, we have three children; Jonette 18,
Jelayne 15, John Daniel II (JD) now 8, it's never too late. I work as a Sales Engineer
for Harris Corp selling Television transmission equipment, lots of HDTV stuff. Graduated
from RCVTC in 1964 from Electronics Technology in 1972. It has been a great and rewarding

WCIR in 1977 then to Punta Gorda, Florida 1986, Dallas Texas in 1999. My father was owner

I just lost my husband to colon cancer about a year ago. Has been a bad year for all
of us but we made it thru with God's help. John should be finished college this year
& I am going to be a grandmother for the first time in 3 weeks thanks to Kristy.
Can't wait. Still trying to decide where to move as this area no longer holds anything
for me except the kids. They say they will move with me. We were moving back to Beckley
last year when Don got sick. He had actually been working there for 5 weeks. I have
decided its too cold there for me but will probably relocate somewhere in NC or TN. I
stay busy as I am in real estate sales, but can do this anywhere.

Steven Quesenberry) [class of 1961]. No grandchildren yet but am
privileged to be the 'parent pet' of 2 Min. Schnauzers, a Rottie, 2
Border Collies, and a Mexican redhead conure parrot. My new hubby of
three years and our family are moving to the Pacific Northwest where
we have property near Spokane. I've finally had enough sand between
my toes and am ready for the change of seasons again. It's been

office, my wife and I spend most of out time visiting our kids (also

Comments: Well Hello to everyone! This website was hard to
find, but finally I managed. This is going to great! I was looking
for info on the next class reunion ????????? I have one year to go
before retiring from the government (VA 31 years). I am the Blood
Bank / Hematology Supervisor for the VAMC in Miami Florida. I have
one daughter, Tammy, who finally got married last year....I just love
my son-in-law! No grandkids......a slew of animals. Tammy and I got
into horses after moving down here in 76, and spent 22 years showing
them, raising them etc., etc., still have 8 on site. Guess they're
retired now! Began raising parrots a couple of years ago...going to
be my "egg money" when I retire! Ha! Guess most people know I was
widowed in 75.....got remarried, then divorced in 87. I have a
significant other named Paul (7 years) He's originally from Kansas,
works at the VA here as facility manager. We worked here for 15 years
in the same building and never met! Guess it wasn't time! He likes
beans and cornbread too! Guess I'll stay here after retirement since
my daughter and her husband recently just bought a piece of property
behind us to build on.....that's okay!

Comments: Hi Gang! Who would ever have thought, back in the
dark ages at Woodrow, that we would be finding each other like this?
I think Jeff Miller has done a great thing, not to mention a great
job, in putting up all the Beckley and WWHS info. I first found him
because he also has a great radio history site, with an emphasis on
West Virginia and Beckley radio history. He even found a few
pictures of my father from back in WWNR days. Since Beckley, I been
about every place on the east coast, but we've been here in the
Atlanta area (Decatur to be exact) for the last 12 1/2 years, and not
planning on being anywhere else until we retire. I am a computer
network architect (whatever that is) for the network integration unit
of a major information technology company. I have been married for
over 30 years to someone from Huntington who I met when we were here
the first time, both in school. We have no children, but a variable
number of dogs (currently two, lately Basset Hounds). For those who
may not know, my father passed away about 20 years ago, my mother
remarried and they're thoroughly retired and doing well outside of
Mobile, AL. My sister has been in New Orleans for over 10 years.
It's great seeing how old friends and mates are doing - seems like a
new familiar name comes up about every day. Isn't technology
amazing? (Not mention putting food on the table). Looking forward
to hearing more from WWHS '64 (and thereabouts)
