Comments: On May 2, 2003, I tied the knot with my former law school classmate, John Diekman
at City Hall in Manhattan. Barbara Futterman (Class of '71) was in attendance, as well as
the entire staff of The Law Office of Joseph Dubinsky, where I am an attorney. The ceremony was
very short and to the point, but as far as the State of New York is concerned, I am just as married as
if the wedding had been held at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Even though John is not a Mountaineer, he is
still a fabulous guy. With any luck, we will be visiting Beckley in July so that he can finally see the best state in the whole USA!

Man how time flies. By reading the posts here, I can see that the "nerds" did survive and succeed. After a very
successful career in law enforcement and the judiciary, I am finally getting "paid to play" as the Field Supervisor
at CellularONE in Beckley. RF and computers - man I love this stuff. I miss August on the parking lot, out back, in
the hot sun, with Alan Staton yelling into his PA system.....the WWHS Band three years straight with a winning rating

Comments: I attended the 30th reunion last August, and was pleased to see
some of my classmates, though I admit that after 30 years, I did not recognize many, so
I extend my apologies to anyone I may have not recognized; the fault is mine.
After graduation in 1971, I attended West Virginia Wesleyan and Marshall University,
eventually getting kicked out of college with a BA in English. I worked in retail for
a few years until I started to feel trapped in a deadend job, and joined the Air Force. I
spent a little over nine years in Arkansas and New York as a flight simulator maintenance technician.
I left the Air Force in 1989, and found employment with McDonnell Douglas Space Systems, working
on the Delta rocket program at Cape Canaveral Florida, where I remain today (McDonnell Douglas
has since been absorbed into Boeing Aerospace).
I enjoyed seeing my classmates at the reunion, and would enjoy hearing from any of you. I can

both attending Concord College and will be married 26 years on September 28. We

Comments: our daughter dona died 01/15/01 after a 10 yr bout with breast
cancer..her obit from the beckley newspaper is on page 5 obits at this website...she was
suppose to graduate in 70 but was sick a yr and graduated in 71...we tried to get in touch
with friends from high school at that time and found shelia selden (70) in
peru vermont and jane (swiger) harvey (70) in richmond va...i have their email address if
interested...dona had lived in charleston since 1985 and was a nurse with the the medical
university of south carolina and later with south carolina mobile crisis unit for charleston
and dorchester counties...she moved to charleston after living in hampton va because she loved
the ocean so much and had a large sailboat for many yrs...she also loved the work she did in the
psych field and her boss wrote us a beautiful letter at the time of her death about how she helps
so many people thru tough times (along with having to wear a 20# bulletproof vest at times and

(one a graduate and one just starting wwhs this yr) still miss her very much every day but the last
5 yrs were really rough and we take heart in knowing she has no more pain and is now at peace...best

from Stokesbury, We have Three Children Richard 26, Jillian 24, and Meagan 21
Meagan our youngest was a Cheerleader at the University of Tenn the year we
won the national championship in 1998 she was a freshman at the time.
She couldn't have picked a better time to cheer.
She really enjoyed it but decide not to cheer the next year and got a job
instead.

Comments: Whoa! What a blast from the past. First of all, you may remember me as
"Peggy." (Don't ask me how my mom got "Peggy" out of "Martha.") After graduating in 1971,
I went to WVU and majored in Theatre. After college, I lived in Knoxville,
Nashville, Louisville and New Orleans, doing children's theatre, dinner theatre, commercials
and voiceovers. Yes, for a while I was a working actor. In 1978 I married a guy I met while
at WVU. In 1980 we moved to New York where we got "survival" jobs and
continued our acting careers. We divorced in 1983 and I segued into stand-up comedy. By
1994 I was burnt out, so I went to law school. Today, I am an attorney and am engaged to
a wonderful man I met at New York Law School. Even though I only get back to
Beckley once a year to see my family, I still think of myself as a Mountaineer.

Comments: Hi classmates! I have lived in Huntington since 1971 when I
began my freshman year at Marshall University. I went on to graduate
school and received an MA degree in Counseling, then married Randy Price
in 1976. I have been the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of
the Tri-State since 1979. We have
two fabulous children, Evan, age 13(1987) and Elizabeth, age 10(1990) in
whom we take great pride. We also have a very spoiled dog (a keeshond)
named Mia and four parakeets. We
are ardent supporters of Marshall University's Thundering Herd and bleed
very green. I would enjoy hearing from old friends.

Comments: After one year of college, I joined the Army and on
December 28, 1972 married Jennifer Ware (also Class of 71). After
moving around this and other countries including desert fun in Iraq,
we settled in Kentucky. I am a nurse and Jen is secretary to the
Director of Student Services on Ft Knox. Our son, Matthew, was born
in D.C. in 1979 and is a senior at University of KY majoring in
Psych. Jen and I are both involved in 18th century reenacting.

Comments: What a great way to connect back to the past! After
graduating from WVU, I married Peggy Seufer (from the Parkersburg
area -almost 25 years now) and was a teacher for nine years in the
eastern panhandle. Got my Masters and changed careers and am now a
consultant for the insurance industry. We have 3 children Jessica
(23, a teacher), Tim (21, studying computers) and Ashley (18,
finishing high school). We've lived in Virginia Beach since 1994 and
love it. Any emails are welcomed.

junor year then I moved to Columbus Ohio I am a Nurse at OSU Hospital
and have been a Nurse for 16.5 years. I got married to Robert
Wilkinson of Dayton Ohio this year. yea I waited a while. no
children. I used to go with Frankie Rutherford of Crab Orchard in
school has anyone heard from him?? I own a home in one of the
suburbs in Columbus My grandmother Elsie Martin still lives in

Foster, Class of 71, in 1972. We had a wonderful son, Rob, who is
now almost 20. We divorced in 1984 and I remarried and divorced
again. I graduated from West Liberty State College in accounting and
have an MBA from WVU. I am a CPA and work as Director of Financial
Operations at Wheeling Jesuit University. My son, Rob, is a
