Comments: I thought I had updated this since the reunion, but guess I didn't. Was a tad busy! The renioun was great, even greater to get back in touch with Jim Salango, (even tho he wasnt' at the reunion)... We had our own reunion and were finally married May 1, 2006! Hooty Hoo!
He is still golfing and loving it here (gets to play all year long). I switched jobs, am now working for a travel magazine. All our kids are all grown up, other then Mike (15) but he is more adult then he should be! Way into Music, recording, producing and writing. He is the one who told me I hadn't updated this. He likes to google alot! Does alot of myspace sites for singers, bands, etc.

Comments: Hello, my brother, Kevin Ivan in the class of 1975 was killed by a drunk driver in 1994. A classmate of his, Alan Holliday,
passed away in the spring of 2006. Jeannie Clagg Vance lives in Barboursville, she was a nurse and is now is full time ministry

Comments: I can't believe that I missed my 30 year reunion. I lost close to 30 pounds waiting for the letter
and date of the reunion, and I missed it. I gained the 30 pounds back...... I've been married, divorced, and married again
with three kids before and after; All 6 are beautiful and now I've just quit having kids all together,...I'm just tired... I'm
doing well in Summersville, the place is beautiful. I miss everyone. I have such good memories.

Therapy and our son has just completed 10 years in the Air Force and is working at the Federal Prison in PA as an investigator. We

of great memories. I was part of the South Kanawha St. crew. I got hitched right out of school. I have two sons,
Michael Paul (29) and David Lee (27). Got un-hitched and have since married a wonderful woman named Suzanne. I have been a
heavy equipment operator and a truck driver my whole life. The last seven years I worked, I drove a semi coast-to-coast. Have
been disabled with a back injury for about 3 years now. My wife has breast cancer that has spread to her pelvis and her

this one. My oldest has his college orientation this weekend at the University of Mary Washington, in Fredricksburg VA. I have

toast for Mike at this summer's reunion.
As a member of the Class of '83, I spent most of my childhood looking up to many of you, and I know Mike would

Mike's wife Mary Ruth is doing well and still living in Charleston; his daughter Sara just graduated from James Madison
University and is looking at grad school this Fall; and his son Brian just turned 16 and is doing great in high

Comments: Just updating my info. I am still the President of the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce, into the
12th year. As I said before it is sooo me, creative and bossy! I love the politics of it all. My daughter Amanda
(25) has blessed me now with two grandchildren a boy and a girl. It can't get any better!
My sons Rob and Mike are growing up quickly too, Rob will be 18 soon and Mike will hit his teens this coming year.

Comments: WOW....I just lucked on to this site. Hello folks most of you remember me as the kid with the really
thick glasses who was going to be an accountant. Some may also remember that I worked in radio in the Beckley area from
1977 to about 1985 under the air name Barry Stewart. Well I worked in radio until 2002 and now Im more or less retired
at the age of 47. I live in middle Georgia and have been here since 1985. I'm married to a wonderful lady who is

I am in my tenth year as Executive Director of The Gallatin Chamber of Commerce. It is a town quite
like Beckley right out of Nashville. The job allows me to be creative and bossy, just the way I like it!
My daughter Amanda (24) is married and has given me a new heartthrob in my grandson "Gabe". My son
Robert is giving me heart attacks as he has turned 16, is 6'3" and definitely a flirt! Michael
my 10 year old is keeping the title as my baby, but is more into baseball and keeping my few hours
away from work busy. He also has inherited the flirting traits.

Comments: I came to Beckley during my junior year and left
shortly after graduation. My circle of friends was not very large,
but I have already heard from a few, courtesy of this website (Thank
you, Jeff). I attended WV State for one semester, then transferred
to East Tennessee State Univ where I graduated in 1979. I got
married and entered the Marine Corps immediately thereafter, and
remain on active duty to this day. We have a daughter entering her
freshman year at UNC Chapel Hill this fall. She was salutatorian of
her H.S. class (A position I was never familiar with...maybe if they
hadn't invented Stroh's...). I suppose I should repeat all the
obligatory phrases about how great life has been in the intervening
years and how I wouldn't do anything differently, but that would be
BS now, wouldn't it? I haven't made my millions yet, but on the
whole, life has been good. I have lived in places I used to dream
about (Jacksonville, NC isn't one of them) and have been able to
positively influence people's lives. It doesn't put Ferrari's in the
garage, but that's worth something to some people.
