Comments: After graduating from Woodrow, I went to Marshall University and received a degree in Counseling
and Rehabilitation. After working for several years, I went back to school and became an English teacher. I ran
into Randy Dempsey (also class of 76) at the Little General Store in Beaver in 1988. We married in 1989 and lived
in Daniels until moving to NC in 2000.
We have 2 girls, Hannah 13, and Rachael 12. I teach high school and Randy works as an inspector for the DOT. We intend
to come to the reunion and hope to catch-up and renew old friendships.

Comments: HEY! Amy just hooked me up with this website!! After WVU Nursing School went to San Francisco and
stayed there 13 years. Finally got married in 1990, only to divorce in 1997. Blew it with the childbearing years
passing so quickly, no kids. Came to Roanoke in 1995, left for Albuquerque in 1998 to be with my wonderful boyfriend, Mark.
JUST moved back to Roanoke to help my Mom some, and am SO happy to be back where it is green! Love to travel, just got

Comments: Wow! I ran across this site while looking at the Woodrow web site for my 16 yr. old daughter. I loved
reading over the entries; they brought back some tender memories.
Anyway, I left Beckley to go to WV Tech in 1976 and didn't get to move back until about three years ago after a
divorce. I moved back to help my mom who sadly passed away May 31, 2004. Since then, I've bought the house I grew up
in and now live here with my two teen-aged daughters, Grace (16) and Katy (14), and my little four-yr.-old son, Andrew.
I teach elementary school near Charleston. I returned to teaching about ten years ago after staying home with my
kids. I hope to get a teaching job in Raleigh County soon.
I'd love to hear from some classmates, and I do plan to attend the reunion next year. It's so hard to believe it's been thirty years.

Comments: It's been a lifetime and several email addresses since I dropped in on this site. I'm a senior
scientist for one of those federal agencies people like to blame for everything that's wrong in the world. Fortunately
I have a life outside of work. I've been married to Natalie (near native Northern Virginian) for 12 years. Our
boys are nearly 6 (though he thinks he's much older) and 8 years old. We may have started late, but I'm still
getting to be a soccer dad (and coach) and a swimming dad. Good thing high school prepared me for these things. Oh, wait,
we went to WWHS back in the dark ages before they had those sports there. Oh well, at least I learned to be flexible.
Don't get back to Beckley more than 1 or 2 times a year and have dropped out of touch with most classmates (and far
too many I notice are dying young), but I'd love to get back in touch with folks... maybe even make the next reunion.

(I can't be that old), 17 and 14, and next year three of us will be in college at the same time (I'm pursuing an
advanced degree, my daughter will be finishing her business degree, and my oldest son will be studying
television and film). I'm just hoping we can live through raising one more teenager...fourteen is such

Comments: I was just thinking about high school and found this web site. I am celebrating 25 years of
marriage and work as an Admissions Counselor for Stark State College. My husband and I have both worked in
the social service or education field for our entire careers so my "giving" nature hasn't changed. I would be

graduate from Woodrow because we moved to Alexandria, Virginia in my sophmore year. I have very
fond memories of my childhood friends and hope that you all have rewarding and prosperous lives. After
graduating from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Va. I entered the Marine Corps. After serving

Comments: I Left Beckley after graduation. Went to Ohio and meet my husband
of 24 years. We moved alot (work related) all over Ohio and Pa. and for the last
15 years haved lived in Kennesaw Ga. just North of Atlanta. Love it here. I have
one daughter that just received her Bachelor of Science degree from Kennesaw
State University and on June 23 of this year married Anthony Zappavigna. I often
think of the friends from wwhs. I have had the chance to travel abit and have
loved being a mother and parent of Samantha. She has always been the greatest
gift I have ever received. My husband is part owner in a company and has offices
in places like Coasta Rica and Belguim. I like being able to travel with him whenever
I can. It feels very strange having Samantha out of the house now but I keep so busy
that I guess it really hit me later. Her and Her new husband live pretty close and the

from WVU in 80 and 83 (couldn't get it right the first time around) and have been living
in Northern Virginia since 86, except for 2 years working and teaching at Penn
State. Natalie (a near native of N.Va. by way of Washington state and Iowa) and I have
been married for 8 years. Last year we did something I never would have dreamed of doing
in 76: we traveled to Russia (Siberia, even!) and adopted two boys -- Sasha,
now 4, and Chris, now 19 months. They're both delightful, fun-loving, bright, and cute
guys (no parental bias here). We don't get back to Beckley much, but I'd love to hear
