finished reading over all the posts. Man what a blast from the past. I have to go
home and break out the year books tonight. Anyway to update everyone on myself I
went on and graduated from Virginia Tech in 96' Environmental Sciences. Go
HOKIES!! (Have to do it for all you WVU fans) Wound up in Richmond VA. Went back
to school and graduated from Old Dominion University 02' Civil Engineering. I am
now a PE (structural) just started working for Hankins and Anderson in Richmond.

child in the next couple of weeks. we are having another girl. we still have our truck shop, but my husband is also working as a
strip mechanic for Massey. when the family grows, the income must grow with it. i manage the shop while he is at the strip, then take a day

Comments: I am not perfect nor a gifted athlete. People can call me out for a number of things. I am the first to admit so
but no one on this site should ever call out Judd Rutledge for much of anything. Few people at WWHS ever loved the
school, sport or Coach Barksdale as much as Judd.... Like others I played basketball with him and always respected his determination
and dedication to the game. His life was WWHS basketball. He constantly looked for ways to improve his team and his
school's image. When I think back at the positives that were Woodrow I honest to God think of Judd. He played, practiced and won
hard and honest for WWHS. Not for Judd but for WWHS. Was he a Kevin English? No, but who was? Judd played a true role that
was respected and revered by his teammates on the varsity and JV (I was JV). Judd Rutledge was a solid student, athlete and
gentleman - something that many of us would be proud to have in a son of our own someday....

Comments: Well how do you define a cheerleader ... they are there to "motivate" the crowd and team. That was Judd's
only purpose. If HS Bball had male chearleaders then Judd would have been there instead of on the bench! That was his
only use! As I had said earlier - a glorified cheerleader is all that Judd was on the WWHS BBall team of 1990. He did
not play all 3 years in HS only his senior year. His dad got him on the team and Barkesdale never played him unless
they were winning by 30 or more points.

Comments: In case anyone remembers me, I'm living in Gallatin, Tennessee and I just got married on 9-25-04 to the
most wonderful woman in the world, Niki Locke Durham. We are in both the music industry and the ministry. I play the
drums and have played with many people from Travis Tritt to Flashback.
Niki and I have our own ministry and I am an ordained preacher under Bishop A. Michael Clark here in Tennessee. We
also have a music ministry called Flight Ministries. We just had a cd come out and are currectly working
with Beamon Records and BMI. We also have our own publishing company called MGD publishing. I am also
recognized as a composer and writer for BMI. We are also working on starting up our own record company.

Comments: JUDD RUTLEDGE ...? The only one who recognizes Judd as a player for WWHS was his parents .... LOL
He was more of a MASCOT in uniform than a player.
Both lists are fairly complete and the order could be argued all day. But the important thing to realize
is the simple strength and success that Beckley has established as a BBall program. I will say this, it did
all start with the 1990 team as if they turned on a switch for talent or something. But we also have to go
a couple years earlier than '90 and give some respect to David Kidd as well !!!!

Comments: Well, I didn't exactly graduate with you guys. I moved to Florida at the end of 10th grade. God, some of
these names bring back some crazy memories! (Marquita, you are officially sworn to silence about most of those times!!!) My
update: Graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1995 (Criminal Justice and Elementary Education). Married my husband
Marc shortly after college. Moved to St. Louis for seven LONG years. I've got 2 wonderful children (Jason-5 years old, and
Madelyn-2 years old) My husband landed a job back here in the Sunshine State--and I will NEVER leave Florida again. We are
building a new house in Palm Bay. I also got out of the education business when I left St. Louis--just landed my dream job
as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the FL Dept. of Juvenile Justice. Life is soooo good!
Just another note: Please remember that April is Autism Awareness Month. The numbers are rising dramatically but there
is hope! My son was diagnosed at the age of 3. But with lots of intensive therapy and tons of love, he has overcome autism. He
is in a mainstream Kindergarten classroom and doesn't receive any special assistance any more. He is a great kid with an
incredible sense of humor, very intelligent, and very creative. None of this could have been possible without the research

I think the people who did Public Enemy should've won the lip synch contest.
There are NO good rap bands like Public Enemy or N.W.A. anymore. What happened to all the good rap bands? I despise all
forms of rap and hip hop these days. If I was friends with dumbass Eminem, I could probably make a million dollars too. All forms
of music suck these days. This "nu-metal" garbage has got to stop. And all of the "bling-bling" rap, as well.
By the way, I can remember a few people telling me that Vanilla Ice was "hard" when he first came out. You know who you are. Boy, I
bet you really feel dumb when you think about saying that.
And for all of you that think I have nothing better to do than post messages on thi website, you're right. I work nights and
screw around on the internet when I get home, until I get tired.

Comments: I just had a baby girl on August 5th. Her name is Autumn Orion Canada. Cute kid.
I remember smoking in the bathrooms while a teacher would stand in there and try to scare us from doing it. I would just sit
on the pot and puff away and thought that waving the smoke around made it disappear. I don't smoke anymore, but wasnt that
just zany, wacky cig-a-licious fun?!?!?!
I also remember meatheads that called everyone skate rat's that looked different. I can't recall one so called
"weirdo" that did. I still encounter that kind of stupidity on a daily basis. But for the most part, I got along with most
people and I'm not bitter. I just laugh at at all those moronic comments I'd hear. I hope now that you guys are older, you
realize how f'n stupid you were. "damn, do you guys worship the devil?", or I can remember one incident when I was at
the mall with a couple friends sitting and smoking, minding our own business and a guy comes up to us with a huge amount of
snuff in his sexy, redneck lip and brilliantly says, "You guys are fuckin' weird."
You know what, it turns out he was right. Thank you my (by now) toothless, hillbilly friend. Thank you so much
for exposing the truth, the way. I have since aspired to chew big wads of tobacco, grow my mullet, and spit Copenhagen into my
girlfriend's mouth. After drinking a few beers, of course. It turns out I was weird. If you're out there friend, have a cold
Milwaukee's Best Ice and spit some Skoal on the Beckley concrete for me. I'll just sit here in Pittsburgh wondering why I'm so weird.

Comments: I guess I should give some people, especially the ones I did not see at our 10 year reunion
last year, a little update about my life, since high school. First, I attended West Virginia State College
and obtained my BA in political science and economics. Next, I went to Marshall University and received my
MA in american national government and public administration. Lastly, after graduate school I went on to
attend law school in Massachusetts at Western New England College of Law an affiliate of Northeastern University,
so in a sense I have pretty much been a lifetime student. I graduated last year in May of 2001, then I took off
a year to just work. I work for the state of Massachusetts in a juvenile correction center as a counselor, and
I am a researcher for the state's juvenile legal division in Boston. Most important, I just recently took the
"bar exam", and I am just waiting for the results to further my career status in the state bureaucracy. In
short, I am not married and I have been working for the state of Massachusetts since I arrived at law school.
It is really good to see such a large response to this webpage, and it is even better to hear that so
many people are doing so well. I would really like to congratulate Jermaine and Joi on their marriage,
since I did not attend the wedding and I have not talked to them either. Oh, well I guess I have said
enough, so I will part ways by saying it was good to reminisce last year at the reunion, and has anyone
seen or heard from Ron Hamby? Holla Back!!!!!!!!

Comments: I thought I would give an update on the happenings in my life in the last year.
I went back to school last fall when my daughter Marley started kindergarten. I found out I was pregnant
the week after Thanksgiving. In March I found out I was having twins. In June we moved from our quaint
little home to a larger more accomodating house while I was on partial bedrest. On July 8, I gave birth
to 2 beautiful baby girls: Caroline and Juliana. We are all doing great. They are such a blessing and my
husband Mark is so helpful. Thank goodness. Looks like school is on hold AGAIN for me.

City Schools. This recent career switch came after a couple of years teaching English at a few community

Comments: Hi everybody! I am so glad that Jeff had the notion to create this website. This
is a great way for WWHS alumni to reunite. : 0 ) Our 10 year reunion was GREAT. As Jenn said,
the Reunion Committee did an outstanding job! It was so wonderful to see all of you again. Some
of you I have known since grade school. It was so nice to meet your spouses and your CHILDREN!!
I still canĘt believe some of you are parents!! And they were so cute!! : 0 ) Well, to catch
everyone up I live in DC with my sister, Monica and work in the marketing department of Cuisine
Solutions, a company that specializes in entrees and sauces for large volume events, airlines,
trains, cruise ships, caterers, and restaurants. It is a lot of fun and I am able to travel
throughout the United States. I am not married yet (too damn picky!). : 0 ) I enjoy traveling
and what DC has to offer with friends. I hope everyone is well and take care. : 0 )

Comments: Hey everyone! What a terrific website! Just got back from our 10 year
reunion and had a blast. It was great seeing old classmates and getting back in touch.
Reunion committee, you did a fantastic job! Looking forward to the next reunion and count
on me to help organize it. Anyways, here's what going on with me...After graudation I went
to Phil. Coll. of Pharm. and Sci. in Philly, PA. Met my husband, Scott there and we graduated
in'96 and got married in Aug. '97. Found out we were having TWINS just in time for our 2nd
anniversary. Now Timmy and Aly are 2+1/2. They've been our life's blessing and are a
miracle since they were born 3 months early and both weighed under 2 lbs! Scott and I are
pharmacists working in Princeton, WV, but I work only 1 day a week now and just devote my
time to my family. I love being a mom, wife and pharmacist. Anyone still around the area,
please keep in touch. Love seeing old friends and rememebering our crazy days at WWHS!

My life has brought many milestones up until now. I am not married, I have no children,

(being 28).

And an Associates in Management. My best freind Mike Edwards that also graduated
with us at Woody High, married my sister and now they have a 3 month old baby boy
(Ethan Elkain Edwards). Mike and I are both looking forward to seeing all our

Comments: I've heard so much about this website. This is great! Well I've lived
in Greensboro for about six years and I love it here. Although Beckley will always be my
home. I am currently working as an OR nurse on the Heart Team in a local hospital.
I have finally found a job that I truly love. I recently got engaged and I am planning
a wedding for May 2001. The class reunion commitee will be meeting again this year to
diligently plan our 2001 reunion. I hope all is well with everyone and

I just kind of ran into this site, but what a cool idea.
I read some of the entries... Wow!
Anyway, how's my life? Well, in progress. Since everyone probably
thinks I dropped off the edge of the earth after we graduated, I'll
catch you up. After joining the Army, much to the weeping and
wailing and gnashing of teeth of the Meade clan, I spent five
years trapseing all over Creation in service to Uncle Sam, working
for Military Intelligence. No, its not as exciting as it sounds
but I had my share of thrills, too.
After my last assignment w/ 3rd Special Forces Group at Ft. Bragg, NC,
I left the Army, to pursue my life's ambition to be an asshole rock'n roll star.
I spent a little over a year playing in some really terrible bands
in Charlotte, NC, before I decided to go back to school. This
little turn took me out to Seattle, WA, where, once again to the
weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth of my family, I attended
art school. I got my degree in Recording and Audio Production, got
engaged, & moved to Denver. Once here I started working for
Guitar Center, Inc., as a Professional Audio salesguy, promptly got
dumped by my fiancee :(, started playing with some even worse bands,
produced several albums for other artists, & got promoted all the way
up to Store Mangager.
As of now, I am still in Denver, but I am moving to New York City
in a few months to begin my third career, with the NYPD. I guess I
finally figured out that I'm not John Lennon. I'm single, and except
for that one "close-call", I've never been married. I've had a pretty
interesting ride thus far, and I can't wait for the next episode of
my life.
Write to me people, and let me know when this reunion thang is
happening...

SOME-HOW STILL THERE! AFTER THAT I MOVED TO DETROIT MICHIGAN AND
WENT TO COLLEGE FOR A YEAR AND THEN IN 95 I CAME BACK AND WENT TO CWV
IN BECKLEY FOR A SEMESTER. I NOW WORK AT PRINCETON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
IN THE LAB. SOME PATIENTS CALL ME A VAMPIRE IF THAT TELLS YOU WHAT I
DO. I AM GOING TO BLUEFIELD STATE THIS FALL TO GET A DEGREE IN
MEDICAL LAB. TECH. ALSO GETTING MARRIED IN 6 WEEKS! 10-7-00

Comments: I graduated in 1991 from WWHS. After graduating I attended Fairmont
State for 1 year then transfered to Alderson-Broaddus College. In 1995, I graduated
from A-B with a B.S. in Accounting. Also, in '95 I married Joey Browning from
Chapmanville, WV. We just celebrated our 5th anniversary on July 29th. I recently passed
the CPA exam and work for Equitable Resources in Charleston as a Sr. Revenue Accountant.
I think this is a great website and would love to hear from all my old friends.

Comments: It was great reading up on so many of you.
I married Ryan Mills (93) in March of 97. In July
of that year I marked off another one of my lives due to yet another
asthma attack (I'm down to seven lives left,at least I think I still
have seven). I went to Concord and WVU for a cumulitive total of six
years as a technical theater major and got so burnt out I decided I
couldn't do it every day of my life for the next few decades so I
quit school became an insurance agent in Ohio until Ryan finished
grad school. He and I moved to Beckley for nearly a year and we are
now in Cincinnati where he is a pediatric audiologist at Children's
Hospital and I am an assistant manager in a women's clothing store.
I enjoy the job but hope to go back to school. I still have no idea
what I want to be when I grow up. Ryan and I don't have any children
yet and no set plans for them have been discussed. Feel free to
