Dear Interesting,

You're right, it is perfectly fine to ask where someone is and what they are doing. If you would've just asked those questions then no one would have said anything to you.

Leave out out the "negative" after comments like this:

"They thought they were the most popular 1994 had to offer and yet I don't hear anything about them on this board...anyone know where life too them??"

And no one will get offended.

Just some friendly advice

The intentions of this message board is so that people can find old FRIENDS that they have lost contact with. Not to make someone feel bad about things that happened 14-15 years ago.

14 Years ago we were all kids. Everyone should know that when you are a teenage you are still a kid. Teenagers generally do not think before they act and everyone wants to be cool to their piers. There are trends and everyone has there own cliques that they hang out in. It is all a part of growing up. This may be news to some INTERESTED people, but most people grow up by the time they are 30.

People go off to college, start a carrier, get married, have kids of their own (Not all in that order). All of this takes time and over time most people change and mature. This is called GROWING up.

Just because someone had a title in a yearbook or someone voted them to be something doesn't mean they should be singled out for not posting a message on a message board.

For one this message board isn't advertised like "MySpace, Facebook, or Classmates.com". It is a private site that was created and maintained by a fellow Allumni. This website is mainly word of mouth. There are posts all the time from people who have just found this site even though it's been out for around 7 years, so they my not have posted because they don't know about the site. Two, maybe they want their life to be private. Three, maybe they are happy with their life and don't want to relive their past. I'm sure those they were close to in high school know where they are and that is good enough for them.

The one thing I don't understand about these childish posts is that, if you don't have fond memories about someone then why do you care about what they are doing now? Why do you care about their life?

I guess the point of this post is that people have grown up and moved on with their lives. Non of us are 18 anymore so we need to stop acting like it. Who cares who was voted most popular 14 years ago. Life is to short to keep living in the past. We all need to focus on what we have now and what our goals are for our futures. You can't change the past so why bring it up.

I've seen what you wrote about you and I was happy to hear everything is going alright. It's been sooo long since the last time I heard about you!!

I live in Barcelona now. After the US I was also 1 year in London and almost 7 in Germany. I decided to come back to my country 3 years ago and everything is going perfect. You can find me in "Facebook", I don't know if you normally use it or not, but suprinsingly I found Burak over there too!! He is now living in Germany. We don't know anything about Felipe.

Carlee (Chambliss), I´ve read about your life and I was very happy to see everything is ok. Since we lost contact, I was wondering what had been about you.

I've seen that Mr. McBride is still working in HSchool. I'm glad.

After 7 years in Germany I returned back to Spain (Barcelona), where I'm working now.

I have been happily married for 10 years to Judd Rutledge (class of 1990) and we have been blessed with 3 fabulous children. Our daughter Jordyn is 11, our son Judson (aka Bubba) is 10, and our youngest son Jaren is 8. My husband owns a landscaping business which allows me to be stay-at-home mom. And that is where life has taken me! Hope all is well!

I married Jason Logan (class of 1992) and we have a beautiful son, Isaiah, who is 18 months old. I am a State Hearing Officer with the Department of Health and Human Resources. I've lost touch with many of you, but I am still very close to Paula. I hope life is treating everyone as good as it has been to me.

I'm married to Chris Lawson- he graduated from Liberty. We are blessed with two daughters, Katherine 21 months and Rachel almost 4 months, who bring so much joy to our lives. I am a clinical psychologist at a private practice here in the valley. I am still best friends with Kristi and we talk daily. I hope everyone that I have lost touch with is doing well.

After graduation, I left Beckley for Berea College (KY) where I played baseball and earned a History/Pre-Law degree in 1998. I immediately started working for the college and pretty much have ever since, except for a brief move to Daytona Beach in 2004. I am now the head baseball coach at Berea, have a wife (Libby) and an 20-month-old boy (Andruw), with a little girl on the way (due March 4th).

I hope all of you are having a good holiday season. I was home very briefly for Thanksgiving and again even more briefly for Christmas. I can’t tell you what an absolute treat it was to get to meet up with a few of you. I woke up the day I had to leave wishing I had just a few more days.

Seems like I run into a lot of Class of 92s, 95s, 93s as well as our own 94s... It is a privileged to have had our formative years together and I wouldn’t trade it with anyone. There are a lot of you out there that I probably won’t see any time soon due to many reasons.

I often wonder how or what many of “us” are doing. Former girlfriends, old crushes, and old friends; also former nemeses, people I have wronged, and people I never took long enough to get to know. I truly wish all of you the best.

I will be 30 on October 17th. I am really looking forward to it! I never pictured myself doing the things I am doing at this age. Instead of hanging around with my friends at bars, I hang around my friends at the soccer fields and at church. Instead of drinking and acting like an idiot, I am feeding my newborn strained carrots and teaching my son his ABC's.

This probably seems like any other post on this site- update on family, friends, and work. I want it to be much more than that. I wouldn't trade my memories of high school, nor would I go back and relive it. I hope that all of us look back on high school and remember the good times and look at the bad times as learning experiences. We are all put on this earth for a purpose. I like to think that all things- the good, the bad, and the ugly- are worth it. Hopefully, all of our life experiences are teaching us to be good parents, good husbands/wives, good friends, and good people.

I think that before we post things or say things to other people, we need to think of the impression we are leaving on other people. I want the legacy of the Class of 1994 to be one that we are proud. We are after all, intelligent, strong, independent Flying Eagles!

Take a close look at what you value in your life. I pray that it is something worth remembering 10 years from now. I don't remember many people from high school, but I pray that all of you have found peace, happiness, and love. May God bless you in all you do!

As for those who are complaining about the 'cliquey-ness' of the reunion, I don't see why anyone was surpised at that. People rarely change and usually it takes a life altering event for something like that to happen.

So for those who are disgruntled and disgusted, just concentrate on your own lives and find whatever happiness that you can. Take heart that karma really does come back and bite people on the......... :)

I graduated from the University of South Florida in 03 with a degree in Finance. I got married in June of 2005 to Vince and got pregnant on my Honeymoon in Vegas and keep in mind that "What goes on in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas", and I have a little souvenir to prove it named Joey. By the way he was a 10 pounder at birth, (thank God for C-sections).

I was an Assistant Vice President at bank that is actually based out of Wilmington OH. I worked there for 8 years and after the birth of my son, I decided to work part time as community relations for a local Plumbing company. In my spare time (almost a joke), I do direct sells for Home Interiors.

I have never been happier, I have a great relationship with my in-laws (this is a brag), and having a child is more rewarding than anything I have ever done. My son is the light in my life and my husband isn't so bad either. It took a while to get to this point, but the journey was well worth it.

I hope all is well with you all, don't be strangers, and I wish you the best.

Not that anyone cares, but I am married (to a yankee) have no children and probably wont have any. I work at a car dealership in town and my husband owns a business in Princeton. We have been married for a year and are very happy.

Its been fun to read about the people who have posted, some traveling around the world, some being ski bums, others just average joes trying to make it day by day like the rest of us. I wish everyone well, and look forward to the big 15.

We have bought a house in Woodlawn and are doing quite a bit of painting. Skylar is 3 and Evan turned 2 last week.

I hope that everyone is finding happiness. I feel like I am getting closer everyday...it helps by realizing and ACCEPTING that there is no need to try quite so hard to be that woman that everyone expects. Most expectations we put upon ourselves, and the perception of what everyone else wants from us is just that...perceptions, which exist only in the mind. (Okay, so maybe there are certain standards which need be met so that we won't get fired from our jobs...) But, you know what I mean - the world won't stop if you can't get it all done today. After all, the world was spinning before we came and it will continue after we leave...

I am on vacation for a couple of months from working, and am so happy to have some spare time to slow down from analyzing and planning and doing. I just want to BE ME! I am looking forward to traveling with my husband (we are celebrating our five-year wedding anniversary!), and to building my patio (yes, we are doing it ourselves, and I am digging with a shovel and hauling dirt like a man), and to reading, watching baseball games, writing, and hiking. I have made some great friends who recently talked me into rollerblading and wakeboarding (I suck at both, and I know this as a fact because: there were actually children on a nearby parked school bus yelling "you suck" out the window as we wobbled by on our rollerblades; and I gave up wakeboarding after numerous face plants into the water last year, but I know they will have me out there and I will be tempted to try again to beat the few milli-seconds I was able to stand on the board last time). We are now contemplating bellydancing lessons as our next venture. I was mesmerized by a group who goes by the name "Ruby Scarabs" who performed at no charge at the prom of a special needs high school that I serve (I am currently employed as a school social worker in Winston-Salem and serve three special education schools and a dropout prevention pilot program at the career high school). I have also had some visions of learning how to "fire dance," but I fear that I may singe myself in the process. I saw a performance at a summer solstice celebration in Greensboro last year, and thought that it was one of the most beautiful artistic expressions that I have ever witnessed. Maybe I will just stick with watching, and dreaming...

I am glad to hear everyone is doing so well. I just wanted to announce that my husband and I welcomed a baby girl into the world on December 15, 2005. Her name is Caroline Grace! Talk about feeling old? I had a baby and turned 30 all in the same week. We also just recently moved to Charlotte from Northern VA. What a change that has been. I guess I had not realized how used to the city I had gotten. It's very funny down here because its like Beckley part II. I always think I see people I know. I could just be crazy or it could be them who knows. Well take care and I hope to see everyone at the 15 year mark!
