Comments: Hey all. I am coming to the reunion but can only make Friday night--my best friend from college is getting married in Toronto that weekend so I have to leave Saturday morning.
As an update, I finished up in Tennessee in '02, got my M.S. in applied math at Rensselaer in '04 (RPI was recently selected as one of the new Ivy League schools!) and started on Wall Street in the summer of 2004. I trade fixed income for Bank of America. I am trading interest rate derivatives for our capital markets proprietary trading group and recently started another graduate degree at NYU.
Things are hectic but no complaints. I look forward to seeing everyone in July.

Holy crap, I have been in the Army almost 10 years, half way to retirement!!!! Comments: Jeremy died on Sunday, July 3, 2005 in Iraq. He was riding in the gunner's position on a
Humvee and was killed instantly when it rolled on top of him and crushed him. His body will be returned to

I have a 3 year old baby girl from my 1st marrage and im expecting a baby boy in march of 05 with my present companion. Alot has happend since high school. Joined the army, spent 4 years at Ft. Campbell 101st Screaming Eagles, and now I'm in germany with the 94th Engineers. I'm a heavy construction equipment operator. I was deployed to Iraq in Jan. 03 and left in Jan. 04. I along with 8 others was put in the history books for being the first ones to operate an armored D-9 Dozer (huge) in a combat zone, and yes I seen my fair share of action over there. I'm preparing to move to Kadena AFB, Okinawa (Mr. Miagi's hometown), and I'm trying to reach out to everyone I can before I leave to say good-bye. I am assigned to the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate of the 18th Air Wing, and will be handling criminal and international law. (So if you're ever in the neighborhood...) It looks like my fiance (Eric O'Hara, Fairmont Senior class of '94) and I will be living apart for the next year or so while he finishes up his doctorate.
Sorry I've lost touch with all of you. Basically, I've been in Morgantown all this time, first in undergrad, then law school, all the while working for WVU and doing the ROTC thing. For some I'm sorry for staying out of the loop for so long.
I just read that you guys had a reunion in July of 2003. I moved away a week after graduation to a little farming community called East Bend, NC. I've been here ever since. I've still not started school, but working all of the time. I have worked for Food Lion Inc and G&B Oil Company since I have moved away. I have managed to learn and do everything in retail sales that someone can (including management). I'm still single for now and no children yet. I hope to start school very soon. I'm thinking history or humanities right now. I return every year to WWHS to Mrs. Gaulding classes and give a presentation on the sinking of the Titanic. The story of the Titanic has almost been a life long interest of mine. I'm currently working on a documentary of the Tianic disaster. Part of it will be filmed at Biltmore Eastes (America's largest home in Asheville, NC and the other part in SouthHampton, England). Mrs. Gauldin's English 10 classes will be able to view the finished project in the spring of 2004. I'm also working on a book about 911. It's great that so many of you are doing well. Spouses, children, new homes and careers--it's hard to believe
that so much can change in what seems like such a short time.
I'm glad to see that there was so much interest in a 5-year-reunion this past summer. Unfortunately, the planning didn't
work out quite as well as we would have liked. In any event, let's all look forward to an incredible 6-year-reunion in July 2003.
I'm currently finishing up my first semester in law school. Sometimes it's pretty intense, but I'm enjoying every minute of it.
I haven't made it back to Beckley over the past 5 years as often as I'd like, so I've lost track of most of my

Comments: I think the class of 1997 should have some sort of informal
reunion in late July or early August of 2002. I don't remember exactly who
our class officers were but I know they all campaigned on this kind of thing
and it's appropriate that they initiate it because it is their responsibility

"student government" kind of guy. I would like to know some other folks

update about what's going on with me. Last time I wrote I stated that I was with
"the one", turns out that wasn't so. Oh well that's life. I graduated from
Marshall University on May 5, 2001. I took a short break from everything after
graduation, but now I am the Corporate Accountant at Tyler Mountain Water Company
in Poca, WV. I am now living with my boyfriend of over a year, who I love dearly.
Who knows maybe he'll be "the one"
(Ha Ha). I just started Grad School last week at Marshall, where I will obtain
my MBA in May 2003. In the meantime I am just living life and planning to prepare
